Yes, movies are magic! It is an escape from the mundane of everyday distractions into a world you’ve secretly dreamed of. They allow you to see the impossible and return to you a power you once held as a child when you believed you could do anything! It is a world that allows you to see the endless possibilities and that your only limit is your imagination. Movies are magic, period.
At Wind Up Films, we believe with child-like faith that this is also very true. We believe that because of the power that movies possess, they will give us a chance to bring to the light subjects that the rest of the world is not aware of and things we have also been told to keep quiet about. We believe movies are our chance to show the world the things that do matter. It allows us to give a voice to those who never had one that’s loud enough. We believe that with movies, we can essentially change the world, help give direction to conversations and teach people that everyone are just that, people…and not one person is better than another.
When we make movies, we have a lengthy process that covers the stages of 1) Development 2) Pre-Production 3) Production 3) Post-Production and 4) Delivery. Each of these stages requires budgeting, time, lots of work and a fiery passion. We have the time and work all covered and this is where you and others come into play in helping us make them.
We need partners that are dedicated to help us spread messages across the world about our ideas. We need others that will stand with us to help bring the magic of movies to the screen for the sake of the arts. Each time we make a movie, we are not only bringing a director’s and writer’s vision to life but we are also teaching several others along the way the craft, skills, and arts. We are investing into others. Nothing can be truer than the quote “Love is work, made visible.” Oh well, we admit, we really love what we’re doing because people like you inspire us!
